Benje In Schiller CE 4i ?5s2���,� Subject: Valli Vue Estates Sub #2, Block 3 Lot 40 — Lone Tree Drive Septic system design Dear On -Site Services Engineer: We have received a new survey with updated existing septic pipe locations that interfere with the previously permitted design. Therefore, we are submitting this change order application for the redesign of the permitted septic system for the subject lot. The attached site plan shows the updated existing and proposed septic location. No conflicts exist between this proposed system or any other septic system, whether on this lot or adjacent lots. The slopes on the lot are around or under 15%. We are proposing a new septic system just south of the existing septic trench. Contours are shown on the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. There are no slopes greater than 25% within 50' of this proposed system. Stormwater drainage will not impact this septic system. Due to lack of available space the new trench will be constricted against the contours as shown on the attached plan. The total drop in elevation of original grade from one end of the proposed trench to the other is 4'. We request a slope waiver for the proposed location of the new trench. Sincerely, Benjamin Schiller, PE March 25, 2021 MOA Development Services, On-Site Water & Wastewater Program 4700 Elmore Rd Anchorage, AK 99507 3/25/21 Subject: Valli Vue Estates Sub #2, Block 3 Lot 40 – Lone Tree Drive Septic system design Dear On-Site Services Engineer: The owner of the above lot has a septic system that has reached the end of its life, so we are submitting this permit application for the construction of a new trench and septic tank. The attached site plan identifies the location of the home as well as the existing and proposed septic location. No conflicts exist between this proposed system or any other septic system, whether on this lot or adjacent lots. A test hole and two perk tests were performed on the property for the septic design. 7’ of GP gravel was encountered that perked under 1 MPI. Below the GP was much siltier gravel that perked at 5.4 MPI. A large portion of the proposed trench will be within this GP layer, but since the silty gravel below the GP perks at a much slower rate, we expect no adverse impacts on wells or ground water due to effluent contamination. The slopes on the lot are around or under 15%. We are proposing a new septic system just south of the existing septic trench. Contours are shown on the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. There are no slopes greater than 25% within 50’ of this proposed system. Stormwater drainage will not impact this septic system. The new trench will be constructed parallel to the slope as much as possible. This lot and adjacent lots are served by a community well that is located greater than 200’ from the property. The new system will be a minimum of 100’ from all surface water, and more than 16’ away from the existing trench.
