Subject: Lot 24 Block 4 Valli Vue Estates Subdivision
As you are aware, we have had three(3) meetings during the past
several weeks regarding an on-site wastewater disposal site on
Lot 24 Block 4 Valli Vue Estates Subdivision. We have inspected
the site two times during the past three weeks. For the reasons
outlined below, we have concluded that Lot 24 Block 4 will not
support an on-site sewage disposal system.
(l)
There is a drainage easement running along the property line
dividing Lots 23 and 24. This drainage course at best is
marginally handling the'surface drainage in the ~icinity of
Lot 24. There is an accumulation of surface water(now
glaciated) along the front one-third of Lot 24. There is
no economically feasible way to correct this drainage
problem..
(2)
There have been three(3) soils test on Lot 24 Block 4, all
of which are unsatisfactory for on-site wastewater disposal.
Test holes A, B located in. the norther half of Lot 24 indicate
the existance of ground water at three(3) feet below ground
level. Test hole C was drilled near the southeast corner
of Lot 24 shoed ground water at a depth of five(5) feet
immediately underlying three(3) feet of peat. In addition to
the shallow groundwater at the test site, this area is
seasonally inundated with surface water due to inadequate
surface drainage.

Unless very large expenditures are made to revise the existing
surface drainage system, thereby, diverting the surface water
away from Lot 24 and without some means of lowering the existing
ground water level, a permit cannot be issued by this office for
on-site disposal of wastewater.
If there are any further questions, please call this office at
