We have revim~ed your situation in light of the interpretation of
the 40,000 Sq. Ft. -20,000 Sq. Ft. requirement contained in Section
18 7~\C 72.030 of the Department of Environmental Conservation h~2ste
Water Regulations. It is our finding that since you had m.mership
of the lot on or before February S, 1973 and that you intend to
constn~ct a private residence for your personal use, that this particu-
lar Section of the Waste Water Regulations is not applicable in your
case.
We would however advise you that of course all e×isting Borough
Regulations are in effect and are applicable in all cases except
where State requirements are more str~-~ge~t.

A water sample revealed a nitrate concentration of 5.31 milligrams per liter (mg/L).
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established a maximum
contaminant level (MCL) of 10.0 mg/L for public drinking water systems. While
private wells are not subject to this regulation, EPA standards are based on existing
health information and can therefore be used to gauge the relative quality of water
from private wells. Since nitrates are known to slowly increase, we recommend
you monitor the water quality. Please see the attached “Nitrate Fact Sheet” for
important information regarding nitrate.
This advisory must be attached to all copies of the subject Certificate of On -Site
Systems Approval.
