Dear IV[r. Combs:
We are submitting herewith the test borin~ results and our comments regarding
soll cond{t{ons encountered at the subject site. This investigation was performed
{n accordance wkh your request of iV[ay 8, 1973 and those procedures outlined in a
letter dated September i3, 197I by A~r. Roil StrJckland of the Greater Anchorage
Area Borough~ Department of Environmental Quality.
A s~ngle test hole was put down within the Lot 21 area for the purpose of def/n{ng
general subsurface soil condit{ons for the proposed sanitary system. Excavation
was accompl&shed with a tractor-mounted backhoe and the test hole was extended
'bo a total depth of 15 feet below ground surface. The final log prepared for the
teeb hole has been {ncluded Jn Drawing A-01.
Ground water was not encountered in the test hole.

Dear M.rCombs:
We have reviewed your situation in light of the interpretation of
the 40,000 Sq. Ft. -20,000 Sq. Ft. requirement contained in Section
18 AAC 72.030 of the Department of Envircnmental Conservation Waste
Water Regulations. It is our finding that since you had ownershlp
of the !ct on or before Fesr~ar¥' 5, 1973 and tha'l you intend to
consffruct a private residence %r your.personal use, that this par'llcular
Section of -the ~iaste Water Regulations is not applicable in your case.
We would however advise you that of course all existing Borough
Regulations are in effect and are applicable in all cases except
where State requirements are more stringent.
