This investigation was per- formed in accordance with your request of April 15, 1975, and those procedures outlined in a letter dated December 19, 1974 by Mr. Rolf Strickland of the Greater Anchorage Area Borough Department of Environmental Quality. Test holes were put down within the building sites on Lots 13 and 14, Block 4, Zodiak Manner for the purpose of defining general subsurface soil conditions for the proposed sanitary system. Excavation was accomplished with an auger type drill rig and the test holes were extended to a total depth of 20 feet below ground surface. One sample was recovered from each of the test holes and retained for grain size analysis. The results of this test are included with this report. The final log prepared for the test hole has been included in Drawing A-01. Ground water was not encountered in the test hole. We appreciate being given this opportunity to be of service to you. Actual system performance over long periods of time depend on factors which cannot be evaluated by this test thus our office cannot warrant the suitability or fitness of the system for either an extended period of time or for user demand in excess of the expected flow noted herein. Factors affecting system performance include: Actual use demand on the system; o Fluctuations in groundwater levels; o Physical conditions of the septic system, leach field, trench or seepage pit and soil.
