Box 4-2310 Anchorage, Alaska 99509 Re: Well upgrade @ Lot 4 Block 6 Zodiac Manor Subdivision. Don: This letter is to verify well casing depth at the Baker residence. (legal description above) where we performed work for you last week. During our pumping of the well -to clear sediment- we stabilized at two ~2) levels in the casing. Our first stage of pumping drew the water level down to 57 feet - @ 5 gpm for 40 miuutes. The water was clear and free of sediment. At that point we increased pumping rate to get an indication of the well production. At 8½ gpm we drew down to 66' at which time we visually ~nspected the well casing to ensure minimal depth requirements. We could easily see that the casing extended at least to 66 feet and most certainly the well is cased to the ~ot~.d~tJ!~9_~_~5'.as it is finished in sand and gravel. if you or the Bakers have any questions on the well or the pamp in-- stalled please call at any time. APR ~ 5 1985' RECEIVED A FLOW TEST WAS PREFORMED ON ~-IE WELL. 728 GALLONS OF WATER WAS PUMPED AT A RATE OF 4.04 GPM OVER A DURATION OF 3.33 HOURS. THE DRAWDOWN W~S 7~.84'~WITH A RECOVERY TIME OF 30 MINUTES AND THE STATIFo~-~%Etg-L~VEL WAS 44.9 FEET. THE WELL IS ADEQUATE FOR THIS 4 BEDROOM HOME. C. The well is reported as 75' in depth; however, a well log ]las not been located. Wells within the same subdivision extend at least 65': Block 6 Lots 1 & 2-65 foot depth Lot 6-95 foot depth Lot ]0-160 foot depth Lot 11-126 foot depth Lot 12-128 foot depth Block 4 Lot 17-i10 foot depth The conditional approval of the well is requested, such that the conduit on wiring, and extension of casing (above ground) may be performed when ~eather conditions are better. It is also requested that the casing verification (min. 40') be a conditional, so that all conditionals may be performed at the same time.
