Received By: Issued By: IMPACTS TO ADJACENT PROPERTIES The location and design of this well and wastewater system is expected to have no impact · on adjacent properties future well or septic locations; at presenb neither well nor septic exists on any adjacent parcel. The choices of locations of each are primarily by default, since parcel shape and slope limit options for st2ndard design. TOPOGRAPHY Figure WW-1 describes the slope directions. The primary and backup designs parallel contour lines, and the slope in the vicinity of the leach field is slightly better than I to 4, about I to 4.5. The slope lies approximately parallel to a major drainage course located about 500 ft to the southeast of the leach field. LOCAL WATER LEVEL Figure WW-2 is a cross-section of the proposed drain/leach field looking southeast. Elevations are based upon an arbitrarily assigned elevation taken from the surveyor's plot plan. Water levels inside a 1-inch PVC slotted standpipe have been measured occasionally since the standpipe was placed in June 1996 and nearly weekly through spring of 1997. Water levels have never varied more than 0.2 ft from the highest read level that's indicated on Figure WW-2. SOIL SAMPLES AND PERCOLATION TESTS The test pit soil samples whose locations and ASTM symbols are indicated on Figure WW-2 were tested for water content and grain size. The standpipe piezometer was placed to 22 ft below ground surface (BGS) after auger drillin.g to that depth. Drill cuttings from 22 ft BGS were identified as from the same gravel unit as those sampled and tested from 5 and 10 ft BGS from the 12-ft deep pit. Locations and test depths of percolation pits are shown on Figures WW-1 and WW-2, respectively.
