We are therefore requesting a permit be issued for the construction of a new well and septic system to serve the new house. The attached Site Plan and backup documentation identify the location and configuration of the new well and septic system and the parameters used in the design. Also identified on the plans is the location of an existing Class C Well and the 150' protective radius along with the location of the test holes and surrounding wells and septic systems. Existing drainage patterns are shown and will not be altered by the development of the lot. Two test holes were placed near the location of t~he new absorption trench an~l alterr{ate site. These holes indicated silty gravel with approximately 1' of organic overburden. Pemolation tests in the material resulted in rates between 30 and 60 minutes per inch. No groundwater was found during placement of the test holes and none has been noted during the monitoring period. We are therefore proposing to place a deep absorption trench system with 8' of gravel beneath the distribution pipe. The total depth of the trench will be 11'. The distribution pipe will be placed at 3' below the ground surface. The ground surface on the lot slopes as shown on the attached Site Plan with only shallow slopes near the proposed septic system site. The new absorption bed will be constructed on a fairly fiat surface in conformance with Municipal requirements and parallel to ground contours where possible. If the system is constructed in accordance with our design the following statements apply: The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse imPact on the wells in the area or those to be constructed in the future. The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on existing septic systems in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
