Per ARM Services, LLC on 11/29/2017, the drainfield monitoring tubes were dry. In order to simplify the operation and maintenance of the system, we are proposing that this unit be permanently configured as a CAT I I system. Our justifications are as follows: • The receiving soil perked at less than < 1 minute per inch and the CAT I I soil application rate is 4.0 gpd/sq.ft. • The home has 3 bedrooms, so 150 sq./ft. of absorption area is required for a CAT II system (450 gpd/3.0 = 150 ft'). The existing 2010 drainfield has 175 sq./ft. of absorption area. The following information should supersede the application rates outlined in GEC's original design dated 11/14/2008: -Allowable application rate: 4.0 gpd/sq.ft. -Proposed application: 3.0 gpd/sq.ft. We are proposing to install a 1500 gallon S.T.E.P. tank with Quanics controls/floats, a 650 Aerocell unit, and a 5 -wide trench type drainfield. Two test holes were excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radii of these test holes. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which show the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing the average topography below the drainfield is a 10-15 percent slope running approximately east to west. There also is a cutbank approximately 35 feet down hill from the proposed drainfield. We request a 35 foot waiver to the cutbank. We are unaware of any adverse impacts with the granting of this waiver would create. See attached cross view drawing.
