Given the justification below, we respectfully request a 3' STEP tank to the existing property line waiver be granted at this time. Granting of this waiver will not impact any of the neighboring properties. The existing tank and lift station for the past 30 years without any known issues or adverse impacts, the improved new tank is made of higher quality HDPE material with proper bedding. We propose to install a 1250-gallon HDPE STEP tank per the attached design to serve the existing 3-bedroom residence. The lot and area are served by private wells. The design will not impact any of the neighboring properties. We only had a faxed, hand-drawn Mark Seward asb survey to work with on this tank design and it appears there is only 17 feet of space between the foundation and the property line to remove and replace the existing STEP tank. The well radius, foundation and property line will be staked by a RLS prior to construction and the tank placed as best as possible at construction with MOA inspection. The area has good silty, compactable soils and we feel that based on the history of the existing tank and the soils there will not be any issue with the intent of the code and will note on the IR and show any prism concern. The minimum well productivity required by this Department (AMC 15.55) for a 4 -bedroom residence is .41 gallons per minute. Although the subject well currently exceeds this minimum requirement, all parties concerned are advised that the production capacity of the well may fluctuate. Restriction of non-critical water uses such as washing cars and watering lawns and gardens may be required.
