Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Subject: Privy System — Raven Mountain Estates, Block 1, Lot 8 Gentlemen: The owner has requested we proceed forward to obtain a septic permit to install a vault privy on the subject lot. The owner of this lot is in the process of obtaining a land use permit to construct a cabin and has decided to install a vault privy to forego the associated costs of excavation and soil analysis. The owner is aware that this permit will not allow him to drill a well and that potable water will be brought to the site. He is also aware that any gray water will need to be disposed of properly off site. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed system and there are no known curtain drains within 50'. We do not expect there to be any adverse effect on adjacent lots by the development of this vault privy. If you have any questions, please contact me at 868-3792/FAX 868-3793.
