Per the MOA records, the trench has an effective depth of 7 feet. During our inspection (6/7/2011) the monitoring tube was found to be a 6 inch sump (from the original installation) with a 2 inch steel pipe driven inside it. It is assumed that the steel tube was driven at some point as a repair. However, the steel tube only extends 32 inches into the effective depth. Therefore, the total depth listed on the C.O.S.A. sheet is calculated. We contacted you during our adequacy test. Per our conversation with you (6/7/2011 Jeff Poet), we introduced 2000 gallons into the drainfield over a period of 420 minutes. The liquid level never rose high enough to be observed in the monitoring tube. Based upon this data, we believe this system is functioning adequately for a 4 bedroom household. Based upon the aforementioned facts, we request that you approve a C.O.S.A. for the property in its current configuration.
