Your request for a waiver of the required 10 feet horizontal separation from the
on-site wastewater disposal system to property line has been approved. The approved
separation distance is 1.0 foot.
This waiver approval applies to the existing on-sitewastewaterdisposal system to
property line separation only. Any future upgrade to the on-site wastewater disposal
system will require all separation distances be met or another approval from this
department.

Ref: Proposed Septic System Design for Lot 21, Block 4; Bruin Park S/D
To whom it may concern:
The existing 4 bedroom house is served by a private well and septic system. A test hole was
excavated on the property where the proposed septic system upgrade will be located. The
proposed septic system will be designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole and a second
test hole which will be excavated during construction. We are proposing that a 1250 gallon septic
tank and a deep trench type dminfield be installed. Comments regarding the proposed design are
summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: Attached is are 2 mil logs which show the soil pmfde, the groundwater monitoring,
and the percolation test results. Test hole #1 was excavated just northwest of the house. Below
the organics was a OM/GW layer to a depth of 11.5 feet which transitions to a SM layer to 16.75
feet (bottom of test hole). A percolation test was performed between 7.0 feet and 7.5 feet and
found the rate to be 24 minute/ineE Another test hole was excavated on the lot to the south
which confirmed that there are no bedrock concerns. Groundwater was not encountered during
the excavation of the test holes. We are proposing that a confa'mation test hole be excavated
during the installation of the septic system.
2. TRENCH DESIGN:

3. SURFACE WATERS: Tberc are no surface waters within 100 feet of thc proposed
upgrade.
4. TOPOGRAPItY: We are requesting a waiver for separation distances to slopes greater than
25 percent. We are proposing a trench to be greater than 35 feet from a slope greater than 25
percent. This slope is naturally vegetated and we foresee no chance of sewage daylighting.
5. LOT LINE WAIVER: We are requesting a I foot lot line waiver to the northem lot line. Lot
22, block 4 is undeveloped and will not be impacted by this encroachment.
