Gentlemen:
The owner of the above referenced property wishes to construct a new
5-bedrcom single family residence. The property will be served by on-site septic and
water. The attached documents include a proposed septic system design and depicts the
location of the proposed well and septic on the lot.
SEPTIC SYSTEM - Design Details
SUBSURFACE CONDITIONS: Attached are soil logs for two test pits
excavated on the property for the purpose of characterizing the subsurface
conditions. Percolation test results are shown on the logs. Ground water
was encountered in both excavations. The water level was measured after
being allowed to stabilize for eight days from the date of the excavation. This
final elevation is also shown on the soil logs.
2. DESIGN SUMMARY:
a. System type: Absorption bed
b. Percolation rate: less than I minute per inch.
c. Application rate: 0.7 gpd/sf for Fdter sand.
d. Design flow: 5 bdrms x 150 gpd fodrm = 750 gpd
e. Min. absorption area: 600 ~/0.7 gpd/sf = 1071 sf
f. Width: 15 ft
g. Length: 71.5 ft
h. Sand f'dterdepth: 24 inches.

SURFACE WATER: The North and South property lines are bounded by two
creeks. To the North lies the Little Rabbit Creek and to the South is a small
(less than 2 feet across and 4 inches deep) creek in the Ricky Road ROW. The
minimum 100-ft protective separation distance for both creeks have been
shown on the attached sheets.
TOPOGRAPHY: The lot has a steady slope to the West and Northwest of
between 4 and 8 percent. A steep slope exists along the Little Rabbit Creek
with an estimated vertical elevation difference of over 25 feet. The slope is
substantially greater than 25%, but is of no significance since locating the
septic system is over shadowed by the new water well and the creek set back
distances.
To the best of my knowledge, the proposed installation does not adversely impact
the development of adjacent lots. If you should have questions, please do not hesitate to
