The proposed building location has been moved, necessitating a new soil test and design. The soil log of a testhole excavated on May 31, 2000 is enclosed. The septic system design is based on the following: The ground slope is more than 30%, but the soil is uniform and horizontal stratifications are not evident. Day lighting ofeffluent, or slope instability will not result from this installation. The Owners desire to limit the ground disturbance, a BioCycle unit is therefore preferred. No Ground Water or Impervious Layer to 13 ft. Use Standard 5 Wide Trench Soil Rating. 2 min per inch Use 2.4 gal per square foot per day No. of Bedrooms 4 Required Area per Bedroom: 150/2.4 =62.5sq.ft.. Total area required: 62.5 x 4 = 250 square feet Use 12 inches of rock: Reduction factor .87 Total Trench Length 250 * .87/5 = 43.5 ft.
