On January 11, 1991, one testhole and percolation test was conducted by another engineering firm for the proposed system. The result of this test is attached. The general slope of this lot is from southeast to northwest at approximately 10% - 15%. We have designed our system utilizing the testhole excavated for the three-bedroom house, which is proposed for this lot. The lot will be served by individual well. We propose to install a 2' wide deep trench. Per the attached soils log and percolation test the soil percolated 3 min./inch. In addition, the soils log and report indicate there was no ground water encountered during the excavation of the testhole or after monitoring There are no public or private wells within 200' of our proposed system location except as noted. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed system and there are no known curtain drains within 50'. Legal: Lot 7F, Goldenview Subdivision Anchorage, Alaska Dear Mr. Jones: The above -referenced property was inspected on January 9, 1999 to determine whether the parcel was suitable for the installation of an on-site well and sewage disposal system in accordance with Municipality of Anchorage design criteria. The parcel is 1.37 acres and heavily wooded with spruce and some birch. The property slopes from from east to west at approximately 10% and appears to drain adequatley. A single test hole was dug in the southwest comer of the property to determine subsurface soil conditions. The hole was dug with a track mounted backhoe to a depth of 15-1/2 feet. Subsurface soils were found to consist of 18 inches of organic material underlain by sand with some gravel to the bottom of the test hole. The ground was frozen to a depth of approximatley two feet. No groundwater was present at the time of excavation however, a monitor tube was installed for future inspection. A falling head percolation test was conducted with a resulting rate of 3 minutes per inch. No soaking was required because of the sandy soil present. The measured drop in water level , after the last of four readings taken at 10 -minute intervals, was 3-5/16 inches. _ The test was conducted between 4-1/2 feet and 5 feet below the surface. From our observation of the site, it apprears that the above referenced parcel is suitable for the installation of an on-site well and wastewater disposal field. Please note that our findings are based upon the conditions of the site at the time it was inspected. Over time, both man-made and natural events may take place that could impact the suitability of the site and the findings of this report. When you wish to develop the site, an engineered plan for the installation of the on-site well and septic will need to be submitted to the Municipality of Anchorage, On-site Services Department for plan approval.
