ED Re: Review of Sanitary Sewer-System, Lot l, Block I, Jeffers Subdivision Anchorage, Alaska Dear Mr. Bucholz: This letter is submitted as a supplement to our report on the subject property dated June 25, 197~. After reviewing your recommendations for the sanitary sewer It appears the system should perform satisfactorily. It was recommended that three trenches be excavated to ~ feet and backfilled with 2 feet of fissured bedrock fragments, ~ feet of sand, 1.5 feet of washed aggregate, 0.$ feet of straw and 3 feet of fill and topsoil. Three leach fields (5' x 35' each) are to be constructed using the above material. We hope thls letter meets your present requirements. Based on observations at the above referenced site, the fissured bedrock encountered from 4 to 9 feet should break down into smaller fragments during excavation. Particle size should range from approximately 2 to 10 inches with some occassionally larger fragments. hope this letter meets your present requirements.
