(2) Locate and expose the well for our inspection to determine proper construction, also to insure the minimum distance requirements are met between your well and sewer system. (3) The septic'tank pumped with a receipt submitted to this department. (4) An adequacy test be performed on the existing leaching area. This test will determine if the system is adequate according to National Standards. A listing of private firms performing the test is enclosed. The system was installed in 1975 and consists of a 1200 gallon septic tank and drainfield. The tank was pumped the last week of September 1980. The test consisted of surcharging the system with 200 gallons of water. The water level observed at the vent of the drainfield entrance resulted in immediate absorption. The natural ground is very rocky with a pre- ponderance of 12" cobbles in gravelly material. The entire 200 gallons was absorbed in less than 10 minutes.
