The necessary change was made and an additional testhole performed for the reserve area. All other design items remained the same and we do not expect there to be any adverse effect on adjacent lots. Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Subject: New sewer permit - Knik View Estates, Lot 29, Block 3 Gentlemen: The owner has retluested we proceed forward to obtain a septic permit on the subject lot. On April 24, 2001 we dug two testholes for. the proposed system. The results of these tests are attached. The general slope of this lot is from east to west at a grade of approximately 6-9% for the eastern three-fourths of the property. From there it continues west at a slope of 1-4% for the remaining one-quarter of the property. We have designed our system utilizing the northern testhole we excavated for the 4- bedroom house, which is proposed for this lot. The lot will be served by public water. We propose to install two 5' wide shallow trenches. Although the upper soil stratum was not percolated, the visual determination of this stratum.is for a percolation rate of 1.2 GPD/SF. Water was not encountered during the excavation or monitoring. There are no public or private wells within 200' of our proposed system location except as noted. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed system and there are no known curtain drains within 50'.
