A drinking water analysis report for total coliform bacteria. The septic system serving the residence located on this property failed an adequacy test. It is recommended that a soil test be performed to determine the requirements for an upgrade of this system. At the time the adequacy test was performed the water in the crib was visible within the clean-out above the elevation at the top of the crib. The septic tank was pumped and verified to have a capacity of 1000 gallons. The crib had to be pumped and approximately 1600 gallons of water was removed. Approximately 1000 gallons of water was then added back to the crib and after a period of 24 hours the water level in the crib was higher than measured the previous day. It is suspected that the water level in this crib is being influenced by the water table in the surrounding area. It may be that the upgrading of this system will require a lift station and a Geepage bed or even a mound system.
