Box 3055 Anchorage, Alaska 99510 Attention: Mr. Herbert Cutlip Re: Percolation Test on Existing Disposal System; Lot 12, Block 3, Elmore subdivision, Anchorage, Alaska Dear Mr. Cutlip: On May 12, 1977, at the request of Mr. Wayne Bass, our office conducted a percolation test on the existing sewage disposal system located on the above described lot. The following table represents the level of the liquid in the tank during the test. There was no liquid in the tank at the beginning of the test. For the test, the liquid level was measured from the bottom of the septic tank. The meter used during the test was a Rockwell 5/8" standard water meter. The meter had previously been calibrated by R & M Consultants, Inc. Since the house on the lot concerned was occupied, it can be assumed that the leach field in question was at its normal degree of saturation. It is assumed that the existing three bedroom house will house six people, the average daily load on the disposal system can be expected to be 450 gallons per day, or 0.31 9pm~ May 13, 1977 H.C. and Associates Page 2 Since the existing disposal system accepted 2.63 gpm, we would conclude that the leach field is presently performing in a satisfactory manner for the attached private residence. if you have any questions concerning this test or this letter, please do not hesitate to call.
