This includes an annual maintenance fee (typically $400 to $600). Owner agrees that only maintenance and repair personnel approved by the Municipality or the manufacturer's representative will inspect and snake any necessary maintenance, repairs or permitted alterations to the system. Owner acknowledges that regular maintenance of an AWWTS reduces the potential failure of the system, which could include sewage backup and costly repairs or drainfield replacement. The existing system consists of a thousand gallon, two compartment steel septic tank with a deep trench. The trench is about 109 feet. In 1982, the on-site Inspection report (see enclosed) indicated that the system was installed seven feet from the north property line and six feet from the south property line and six feet from the east property line. It appears that it is located on the only reasonably level portion of the lot. The location of the house, soil condition and the slope of the lot prevented the construction of a shorter or duel trenches. The only solution at the time appears to have been to encroach on the separation distances to the various lot lines. The neighboring wells, homes, and areas for replacement septic systems are not adversely Impacted by this encroachment. We appreciate your review and approval of our requested waiver.
