While the leachfield passed the test, during the inspection the steel septic tank showed indications of failure. We propose to replace the existing1500-gallon steel tank with a 1500 -gallon DPE tank. The soil log information on H le shows a depth of 13 feet with no groundwater noted. We do not expect there to be any adverse effects to the existing wells in the area or this septic system operations ill the existing location. Subsequently, the owner has requested we proceed forward to obtain a septic permit to upgrade the septic system. Due to the constraining characteristics of the lot, the existing system will be completely decommissioned / removed and a new one reinstalled in the same location. The general slope of this lot is from west to east at a grade of approximately 0-3% over the septic area. We will be utilizing the existing 1989-90 testholes that were performed to investigate soils and groundwater. Per MOA record documents, groundwater was not encountered at excavation or at monitoring. The proposed upgrade will serve the existing 5 -bedroom single-family residence. We propose to install a 63' trench. The property and adjacent lots are served by private water. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed system and there are no known curtain drains within 50'.
