We are submitting an applications for the installation of well,_ and septic systems for the fi,,e lots
ofth~s subdivision Originals of the soil investigation performed by DHI Consultmg Engineers
are on file vath the DHSS Two additional soil logs are attached to this apphcauon These t~vo
testholes are identified vnth the lnmals TS Groundwater was not observed in an)' of the
testholes
The soft is fairly uniform throughout the subdivision, consisting of a fine sand slltw sand
overlaying clean sand and gravel The percolation rate of the fine sand xvas found to be less than
5 minutes per inch in several of the testholes However a percolation rate of 6-15 x~ as used for
design at ali the lots TJals approach resulted in the a trench length of 75 feet for lot 3 leaxlng a
portlon of the proposed trench outslde of the 30 foot radms around the testhole Ifthe observed
pert rate was used the length oftl' e trench would be 50 feet, placing the whole trench vattun the
30-foot circle
To facilitate revle~v I have shown all the proposed septic systems and the proposed well Iocanons
on a sheet 1 For Lots 2,3,and 4, mu alternative well location is shown The specific design
assumptions are listed for each lot The proposed well and se.mc improvements wfli not impact
the adjacent properties or change the surface/subsurface dran.age of the lots
