Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519 Re: Tonjess Estates Lot 23, Block 2 Narrative & Permit Application Dear Mr. Cross: The proposed well and septic system will have very limited impact on adjacent properties for the following reasons: The surrounding lots are large, allowing sufficient room for septic sites. The leachfield is sited to match the septic area on Lot 22 and allow maximum reserve area for each lot. Reserve space is adequate, due to absorption capacity and lot size. Drainage will not be affected and is not a major consideration in our design. The entire area of this lot has an average slope in excess of 25 %; the area selected for our leachfield occupies a 15-20% bench which was selected due to its location away from the anticipated driveway cut. While slopes exceed 25 % and approach 35 %, both above and below the leachfield area, we do not believe this is detrimental for leachfield construction due to the high pem~eability of the soil and the deep trench type system being utilized. The area below the leachfield will be undisturbed and we are located well above the road right-of-way. A similar system design has been permitted on the adjacent Lot 22, Block 2. All materials and workmanship shall meet the Anchorage Department of Health requirements. 4. All soil tests are advisory to the design and are to be verified or modified in the field by the engineer. 5. All excavations and depths are advisory and are to be verified in the field by the contractor to meet Municipality of Anchorage requirements. 6. It is the responsibility of the owner to obtain all necessary permits or easements and to locate any adjacent multi-family wells. 7. The excavation is to be exactly in the area shown on the site plan, any deviation requires engineer approval. 8.
