ADVANTEXTM TREATMENT SYSTEM To whom it may concern: The proposed 5 bedroom house ~vill be served by a private well and septic system. T~vo test holes were excavated on the property. The primary drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radius of test hole//2. Due to the presence of high ground xvater and the fact that a lift station ~vill be required, regardless of whether a conventional or alternative septic system technology is used, ~ve are proposing to utilize a Class II Advantex system. Comments regarding the proposed design are summarized as follows: DRAINFIELD APPLICATION RATE: The intent is to install a drainfield in the vicinity of test hole //2. A percolation test was performed between 3.0 to 3.5 feet and the rate was determined to be <I minute/inch. Given this percolation rate, the effluent from a Class II Advantex system has an allowable application rate of 4.0 GPD/FT:. 2. TRENCH DESIGN: a. Percolation Rate: <1 minutes/inch b. Alaska Water & Wastewater Consultants have submitted an engineered design for a wastewater disposal system on my behalf and have received permit number SW020317 and approval to proceed. I, as the home owner, will do the work myself at Lot 6, Block 1 Mountainside Village following the engineer's instructions. The engineer will inspect the installation. I have over 15 years experience in all phases in the home construction industry, including septic and sewer system installations ranging from single home to community systems. The experience includes labor, heavy equipment operating, and supervision. The equipment used for the excavation will be rented.
