A' sewer system adequacy test ms performed on the system located on
the referenced property. The test ~as performed on December 19,
20, and 21, 1979 at your request.
Tho septic t~nk was pumped and found to have a capacity of approximtely
1000 gallons. The static level of the ~.mter in the seepage pit
;.ms recorded. The pit ~ms then charged with 1000 g~!lons of ~mtor
and the level of the ~ter ~ss again recorded. At the end of a 24
hour period and again at the end of a 48 hour period the ~tor level
~ms recorded and it ~ns determined that the seepage pit hsd a
percolation rate ~ich ~m~ adequate for one bedroom.
I regret to inform you that the seepage pit ~.rl)l require upgrading
to accommodste the tMo additional bedrooms. A pornit to accomplish
tho upgrading will have to bo obtained from tho Dep?rtment of Health
and Em~.or~en~l Protection, t.~nicipal.ity of Ancboroge, 825 L. Street.
If the 'npgrading is deferred until Spring, 1980 it ~rill be less
expensive th~n attempting this work st this time of the year.
