The existing source for drinking water is not an approved well. We are proposing to drill a new well (see attached site plan) and decommission the existing drinking water source. Per email from AWWU (attached) the property is not stubbed for a public water connection. We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems. In addition, we are requesting that your department issue a waiver (50 feet) from the required separation distance of 75 feet from a private well to community sewer line and 100 feet to a clean- out on a community sewer line. The subject sewer line services a single multi-family dwelling, however, it is more reasonable to treat it as a private sewer line, which only has a 25 foot required separation distance to private wells.
