I have reviewed your information and the sampling results for the public water system. It appears that the Class C public water system has been installed meeting the waiver requirements of 111 feet from the sewer main cleanout in West street and the on -lot system in lot 1, Block 3,Oringinal Girdwood Townsite U.S.S. # 1177. Therefore in accordance with the State Drinking Water Regulations, operational approval is granted. A copy of Page I of the signed Class C Public Water System, constituting approval for the existing Class C Public Water System, is enclosed. This approval does not imply the granting of additional authorizations, nor obligate any state, federal or local regulatory body to grant required authorizations. Attached, you will find the Inventory and Source Registration Form for this construction. The Registration constitutes written approval for the construction as you have designed it. The well needs to be located with 111 feet separation from the manhole in West Street and 111 feet from Lot I's existing cesspool. The proposed 4" sewer service needs to be no closer than 64 feet to the new well. The pipe Joint within 100 feet from the new well need to have special construction either each need to be shtink wrapped or some other means to assure that leakage can not easily occur. The construction plans for the water system need to be submitted along with the site drawing showing the location of the special construction on wastewater service Iine. Inspection and sign -off of plans shall be performed by a professional engineer registered in the State of Alaska. Arrangements for this inspection are the responsibility of the developer. This approval does not imply the granting of additional authorizations, nor obligate any state, federal or local regulatory body to grant required authorizations.
