Septic System Design and Permit Application
Dear On-Site Services Engineer:
The developer of the subject lot intends to construct a 4-bedroom home on the property. We are
submitting this design and permit application for the construction of a new well and septic
system. The attached site plan identifies the location of the home and the proposed well, septic
location and alternate site.No conflicts exist between this proposed system and any other well or
septic system,whether on this lot or adjacent lots.
The ground surface on the lot slopes moderately to the south. Ground contours are shown on the
site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. Storm water drainage will not impact this
septic system. The new beds will be constructed parallel to the slope as much as possible.
The adjacent lots remain vacant and undeveloped. The new septic system will be a minimum of
100' from all wells and surface water, and more than 5' from the septic tank. The alternate site is
located more than 10' from the primary site. The beds will be 1' from the northwest lot line at
the closest point.
Please refer to the attached test hole logs, laboratory gradations and plan and profile sheets for
the septic design. If this design is followed, there will be no adverse impacts to adjacent
properties.

Absorption Bed to Lot Line
Dear On Site Services Engineer:
A section of the proposed absorption bed on the subject lot must be placed at 1' from the
northwesterly lot line due to the proximity of the proposed house on the lot and the presence of
shallow groundwater. The majority of the bed system is more than 4' from the property line.
Soil conditions at this location are composed of clean sand with silt with percolation rates under
1 minute per inch. Very little migration of effluent is anticipated. The adjacent lot is
undeveloped with substantial surface area for a septic system. We therefore request a waiver be
issued allowing the trench to be 1' from the lot line at its closest point.
