Septic System Design and Permit Application
Dear On-Site Services Engineer:
The developer of the subject lot intends to construct a 3-bedroom home on the property. We are
submitting this design and permit application for the construction of a new septic system. The
attached site plan identifies the location of the home and the proposed septic location and alternate
site. No conflicts exist between this proposed system and any other well or septic system, whether
on this lot or adjacent lots. Adjacent lots are served by a community water system. This lot will
also be served by the community water system.
The ground surface on the lot slopes moderately to the northwest. Ground contours are shown on
the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. Storm water drainage will not impact this
septic system. The new beds will be constructed parallel to the slope as much as possible.
The new septic system will be a minimum of 100' from all wells and surface water. The alternate
site is located more than 10' from the primary site. The beds will be 3' from the west lot line at
the closest point.
Please refer to the attached test hole logs and plan and profile sheets for the septic design. If this
design is followed,there will be no adverse impacts to adjacent properties.

Absorption Bed to Lot Line
Dear On Site Services Engineer:
A section of the proposed absorption bed on the subject lot must be placed at 3' from the
westerly lot line due to the proximity of the proposed house on the lot and the presence of
shallow groundwater. The majority of the bed system is more than 10' from the property line.
Soil conditions at this location are composed of clean sand with silt with percolation rates under
1 minute per inch. Very little migration of effluent is anticipated. The adjacent lot is served by a
community water system with no well on the lot. In addition, the septic system is more than 40'
from the common lot line. We therefore request a waiver be issued allowing the bed to be 3'
from the lot line at its closest point.

The application has been reviewed and the following comments have been generated. These are to be satisfactorily
addressed prior to MOA approval:
1. Records indicate that there is (or was) a community well on this lot. Please address whether or not it is still there or
confirm it has been properly decommissioned.
2. There is public water routing down Judd Drive. Please confirm that a well is desired.
a) If well is desired, an additional $215 fee is required for the drainfield to lot line waiver request.
b) If well is not desired, please remove references in narrative and on site plan.
3. Narrative states that adjacent lots are vacant. Most of the adjacent lots are developed. Please address.
4. If design switches to public water, note that the 10 ft separation between the water service line and drainfields shall be
maintained (including proposed alternate drainfield).
5. Confirm a minimum 10 ft separation from the drainfields to any subsurface drains (i.e. foundation drains).
6. Site plan note for alternate drainfield is missing the drainfield width. Please address.
7. Address tank buoyancy.
8. Under"System Requirement" on the section drawing, please correct the tank size.
9. Please confirm on-center spacing of holes in distribution piping, called out on section drawing.
