Kinney Associates. Inc. (RPKA) performed percolation testing, water level monitoring. and soil test pit logging in the Birch Grove Subdivision IB and determined that there are sufficient septic system areas available to meet the requirements of MOA Code 15.65.180 and that required separation distances from existing and proposed wells are met. Signed and stamped percolation test logs and a Site Plan to scale with contours that show percolation test locations for the proposed subdivision are included with this letter. The Site Plan shows and demonstrates the following. 1. There are no developments on Lot i B. 2. The approximate locations of the proposed houses. wells, and septic systems and locations of existing houses, wells, and septic systems within 200 feet, and the wells and septic systems on neighboring lots are located at greater distances than 100 feet from proposed wells and septic systems. 3. There are no conflicts with existing surrounding water supply well and septic systems. 4. Sufficient existing reserved areas per MOA Code 15.65.180 meet separation requirements from existing and proposed property lines, proposed wells, and existing wells. 5. All land within 50 feet downslope of sufficient available area is sloped less than 25%. 6. There are no surface waters within 100 feet of any of the proposed septic system areas. Depths from surface to groundwater after the seven-day stabilization and monitoring period are indicated on the percolation test logs and tabled below along with percolation test results. 1. TH-1: 7 feet 2. TH-2: 6.5 feet 3. TH-3: 5.75 feet 4. TH-4: Dry hole. No water in standpipe Percolation Rate = 40 minutes per inch (mpi) Percolation Rate = 21 mpi Percolation Rate = 17 mpi Percolation Rate = 20 rnpi MOA Code 15.65.180 states a reserved area of 14,000 square feet is required with a percolation rate in the range from 12 to 24 mpi and that 16.000 square feet are required where the percolation rate lies in the range from 24 to 60 mpi. It is our opinion that the local aquifer supplying the wells of adjacent lots to the north and east is adequate to also supply a subdivision south and down` slope' of Lot IA, Birch Grove Subdivision. There are six lots developed with on-site water and sewer services that lie adjacent to Lot 113, Birch Grove Subdivision. These lots are listed below. 1. A 12.6 -acre lot in Section 17 to the northwest of Lot IA, Birch Grove Subdivision, 2. The 20 -acre Birch Grove Lot 2 to the north, 3. The 28.4 -acre Birch Grove Lot ]A to the north, 4. Lot 19, Lot 25, and Lot 26, the three smaller lots of Sunny Valley Subdivision to the east. Well information about these lots from T14N, RI W is detailed in the table below. Using a rounded down average well yield from Table 1 of 27.3 gallons per minute, the aquifer recovery time would be approximately l .8 hours.
