Two test holes where dug on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radius of test hole 42. We arc proposing that a 1500 gallon septic tank and a dual 5 -wide trench type drainfield be installed. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached log which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. It is our opinion that due to the overall appearance of the soils, an application rate of 1.2 gallons/day/ft2 should be used. The insitu sandy soils will act as a sand filter. 2. TRENCH DESIGN: a. Percolation Rate: <I minutes/inch b. Proposed Application Rate: 1.2 gallons/day/ft2 c. Number of Bedrooms: 5 d. Design Flow: 750 gallons per day e. Minimum Absorption Area: 625 62 f. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100+ feet of the proposed septic system. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached topography site plan, the average topography in the area of the proposed drainfield is approximately 10-15% running northwest to southeast.
