Attached is a design package for Chicrama Terrace, Tract D. A new single family svcll and septic system is
proposed for file above described property. The followh~g is a description of the design:
TOPOGRAPHY:
The land slopes towards tile north at approximately a 12% grade according to Municipal topography maps.
The house will be located dowel gradient from thc leach field; therefore, a lift, station will be needed.
SOILS:
Two tcst boles v, ere dug and percolation tests were completed on thc south side of the property as shov,-n on
the attached site plan. Soils were sandy, silty gravel and percolation rates were 1.33 and 3.1 mlmstes/inch.
The design was based on a soil rating ot'0.8 GPD/SF. No groundwater ~vas encountered hi Test llole #1.
Groundwater was encotmtered hi Test hole #2 at 13 feet below original grade. Please see the attached soil
log sheets.
WASTEWATER SYSTEM:
The wasteg ater system is dcslgned for a single family 4-bedroom home. An gg-foot long 5-widc Irench with
3 feet ofeffective gravel is designed for this property. Please see the attached design calculations.
SURROUNDING PROPER'I-lES:
The proposed v, aslewater system location does not encroach upon drinking water ,,veils and/or septic
systems on surrounding properties. I am not aware of any impacts the proposed drinking water and

SPECIFICATIONS FOR ON-SITE SEPTIC SYSTEM

A. GENERAL
I. The well and septic design provided is for a four bedroom single family residence.
2. The drawing and or site plan shall be part of fltis specification.
3. All materials and workmanship shall meet Municipality of Anchorage Codes and Regulations.
4. All soil tests are advisory to the design and are to be verified or modified ill file field by the engineer.
5. Ail excavations and depths are advisory and are to be verified in the field by the contractor to meet
Municipality of,Anchorage Codes and Regulations.
6. It is tile responsibility of the owner to obtain all necessary pernfits or easements.
7. The excavation is to be exactly in the area shown on the site plan, auy deviation dom the location
requi~s engineer approval.
S. It is the responsibility of the owner to have the lot lines, lot corners, and ensemcnts flagged by a
Professional Land Surveyor prior to septic system construction.
9. Any remaining opeo test hole excavations shall be filled.
B. SEPTIC TANK WITII LIFT STATION
1. The septic tank shall be an Anchorage Tank 1,500 gallon septic tank with a lift station including file OSI
lift station pump model OSI-P2005.
2. A letter from a licensed elecu-ician shall be provided to the engineer verifying lift station wiring in
accordance with all applicable btunicipal Codes.
C. DRAINFIELD
1. The drain field is to follow thc natural land contour to maintain uniform total depth of the drain field
bottom.
2. The bottom of the drain field shall be level, plus or minus 1.5"
3. The total depth of the trench excavation shall not exceed 5.5' at any point.
4. The effluent linc is to b e I-1/2" PVC line with 1/8" holes drilled 3' OC within thc leach field. Linc from
tank to field is to be I-%" I-IDPE.
5. The drain field gravel is to be covered with typar fabric material.
6. Soil or con0ainatinn of soil and extruded board insulation to a depth of 3' or equivalent is to be placed
over the drain field to m.ake adequate cover.
7. Septic tank and leach field must not be closer than 100' to uny existing private well, 150' to any Class
"C" well, or 200 feet to any collununity well.
