Suite 201 Eagle River, AK 99577 July 13, 2004 Ryan Sparks PO box 671925 Chugiak, AK 99567 Re: Bear Park Subd. Lot 7A Dear Mr. Sparks, ,Services (907) 694-5195 tel (907) 694-3297 fax Eagle River Engineering Services (FRES) has, per your request, investigated the subsurface soils on the above proposed lot subdivision to evaluate their suitability for on-site septic systems. Additionally, neighboring wells and septics have been identified, and they have been determined to not affect the proposed lot 7A's abilities to support on-site wells and septic systems. Both lots (7A and 8A) are larger than 40,000 square feet, with less than 5% grade on the majority of either lot. A cut bank on the property near lot 7A's north lot line will not adversely affect the area available for septic systems. Evidence of a water table has been monitored through the month of May, and has been found to be absent. Soils are a well graded sand and gravel, to 18' deep. The proposed lot 7A has more than the required 10,000 square feet of area available for an on-site septic system and two replacements. This lot provides for space available to drive a well with 100' radius separation distance to the septic system reserve area. Please see attached preliminary plat with our mark-ups. If you have any questions please call our office at 694-5195, or my cell phone at 242-2717. Sincerely, EAGLE RIVEUNGINEERING SERVICES C tstopher R. Wood, P.E.
