Box 196650, Anchorage, Ak 99519-6650 (907)343-7904 Ret: Proposed Septic Design for Valley Edge Subdivision; Lot 6, To whom it may concern: The proposed 4 bedroom house will be served by a private septic system and well. A private well has already been drilled. We are proposing to install a new 1250 gallon septic tank and a dual deep trench type drainfield. Two test holes were excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radii of these test holes. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, i and the percolation test results. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. I 3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing the average topography below the drainfield is a 15 percent slope running approximately north to south. There also is a cutbank approximately 20 feet down hill from the proposed alternate site that is approximately 5 feet tall. Attached is as detail drawing of the slope that shows that a waiver is not needed. We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems.
