Box 196650, Anchorage, Ak 99519-6650 (907)343-7904 Ref.• Proposed Well and Septic System for Seabreeze Subdivision; Lot 3 The proposed 3 bedroom house is to be served by a private well and septic system. The proposed well location is shown on the attached site plan and design drawings. We are proposing that a 1000 gallon septic tank and a 5 -wide trench type drainfield be installed. Two test holes were excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radii of these test holes. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. 2. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system. During our site visits, we found an area that was glaciating south of the proposed septic area with a drainage Swale, with no running water, running from east to west. Per the request of the owner, we have shown a proposed curtain/french drain in this area to insure this wet area will remain subsurface. There is no concerns with the installation of this curtain/french drain in regards to the proposed septic system. 3. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing, the average slope in the area of the proposed drainfield is approximately 10 to 15 percent running east to west. In short, there are no slope concerns. We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems.
