This information must include, but may not necessarily be limited to: 1. Soils testing, percolation testing, and ground water monitoring must be conducted to confirm the suitability for development using on-site wastewater disposal systems. Ground water monitoring must be conducted during high ground water season in either the fall (October) or spring (April -May). 2. Areas designated for the original and replacement wastewater disposal system sites must be identified and must meet all criteria specified in AMC 15.65 including slope and slope setback requirements. 3. Topographical information must be submitted. 4. Provide documentation for water availability to serve water wells. It is our understanding that the owners are proposing to continue using this class "C" well for both properties once the property has been subdivided. At it's current usage the building would only be used as a <500 gallons per day system which does not require DEC approval to prior to installation. Attached is a design . we performed for the owners to upgrade the sewer system. The existing abandond gas station is served by a class "C" well and a private septic system. The septic system is not in compliance with A.D.E.C. standards and must be upgraded. We are proposing that a new 1250 gallon septic. tank and a bed type drainfield be installed with 2 feet of A.D.E.C. approved sand filter. One test hole was excavated on the property in the area of the proposed upgrade. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: The existing gas station is currently abandoned and has no current flow rate. The proposed drainfield is sized for flow rate of 500 GPD witch is based on a possible 3 employees at 10.6 GPD which leaves a possible 468.2 GPD for customer use. We believe this to be a sufficient size due to the previous usage and size of this facility. See attached design drawings for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing the average topography in the area of the proposed drainfield is realitivly flat. In short there is no slope concern. We are unaware adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems. If you have any/ tions, please contact us at 337-6179. Thank you for your assistance. M.S.
