The proposed system will serve a proposed three (3) bedroom house with a two (2) bedroom ADU. The system will utilize an AWWTS consisting of a new 1500g septic tank and 10008 re -circulating tank with two AX -20 pods and absorption field. This lot and the surrounding lots are served by private wells. There are no wells within 100' of the proposed septic system. 1. Soils. A test hole was conducted in the vicinity of the proposed system in 2006 by Mike Anderson. Ground water was not observed to a depth of 10' below the surface. Bedrock was not encountered in the test hole to 10'. A new test hole was conducted by PES on 29 September 2019 and water monitoring will be observed on or about 4 October 2019.Based on the results of the percolation tests and overall soils appearance an application rate of 6.0 gallons/day/square should be used in the area of the test hole. 2. Soil Absorption System Design. a. See Sheet 1 of the design package. 3. Surface Water: There is no surface water within 100 feet of the proposed septic tank and drain field. The proposed drain field upgrade will maintain at least 100 feet from all surface water and drainage ditches. 4. Topography: The existing topography on the lot generally slopes from southeast to northwest, with a slope of approximately 20%-25% in the area of the proposed drain field. There are no steep slopes within 50' of this system. 5. Drawing Markings: The Drawings are marked "For MoA Review Only". When written notification that the review is complete and that there are no further comments is received from MoA On -Site Department, the note will be removed and "Issued for Construction" drawings will be issued. 6. The test hole excavation was completed near the northwest corner of the property, the soils consisted of silty gravel GM for the complete 10 feet then bedrock.. No water was not observed during the excavation or after the 7 day monitoring period. The pert rate was 2 minutes per inch. A new 5 wide trench has been design with an effective depth of 2 feet. An Advantex system has been chosen due to the bedrock. The application rate of 3.0 gallons per day per square foot has been use for the Advantex due to the bedrock at 10 feet. Also the leach field and tank will be designed for a 5 bedroom system however only a single pod will be installed which supports a 4 bedroom house. In the future the owner will be able to add another pod if he needs a five bedroom system. The owner has requested a motor home dump station be installed on the south side of the garage, this has been shown, see plan. The lot slopes about 18 to 22 percent with a flat spot near the septic area. No cut banks or slopes over 25 percent are within 50 feet of the proposed leach field.
