All construction must be in accordance with: 1. The attached approved design.
2. All requirements specified in Anchorage Municipal code Chapters 15.55 and 15.65 and the State of Alaska Wastewater
Disposal Regulations (18AAC72) and Drinking Water Regulations (18AAC80).
3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer must notify the Development Services
Department at least 2 hours prior to each inspection. Provide notification by calling (907) 343-7904 (24 hours).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather must either:
A. Open and Close on the same day.
B. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing.

To Whom it may concern:
This is a request for a new well and septic system on the above referenced lot. One test hole was excavated
near the south property line and showed silty sandy gravels for the entire 20 foot depth. No water was
observed in the test hole during the excavation or after the 7 day monitoring period. A new simple deep
trench was designed with 6 feet of effective depth is being proposed. The perc rate was 11 minutes per inch
with an application rate of 0.8 GPD/SF which means the length is 63 feet.
The lot slopes at about 5-10% to the south with the proposed new septic area located on the same slope. At
the edge of the south property line is 6 foot cut bank which is over 80 feet from the proposed leach field.
This new system and well will not impact any of the neighboring lots.
