Box 8232 Anchorage, Alaska Project: Percolation Test - Lot 32, Nevilla Park - 8124-2nd Avenue, Anchorage. Dear Mr. LaGrant: A non-standard percolation test was performed on the subject lot. The system is completely installed in an area where our experience has shown that test holes are very expensive and the soils are such that the seepage rate is very high. The Health Department has, at times, accepted these non-standard tests under similar circumstances. The test was performed by running water into the seepage pit at an estimated 5-6 gallons per minute for 30 minutes and measuring the depth of water in the seepage pit. At the end of 30 minutes no water had collected. In our opinion, the percolation rate for the installed system meets all governing criteria.
