Weaver: Please consider this letter a ¢ormal request ~or modi¢ication to the Conditions o¢ Approval ¢or S-8734 Dowling Subdivision, Lot 25-A as approved at the August 1988 meeting o~ the Platting Board. Specifically, we wish 3-4 reads: to modify Item 3-A. Presently Item "to construct Rosewood Street ¢rom the northwest corner (point o~ access) o~ Lot 25-A to Dowling Road to urban access standards, or initiating and obtaining a successCul RID." We wish to modiCy the approval to allow the use o¢ recycled asphalt as opposed to the strip paving that is required by the "Urban Access Standards" reCerenced in the Item 3-A, Our reasons Cot requesting this modi¢ication are as ~oliows: 1) There are drainage problems in the'area Rosewood Street which are beyond the scope o¢ this improvement. The development resulting Crom the proposed improvement will not increase tra¢tic, nor does it 'justiCy major investment by Municipal Public Works in an area-wide drainage system. Be¢ore permanent road improvements can be accomplished, this drainage system must ~irst be established. 2) The use o¢ recycled asphalt will provide a more appropriate ductile road surface, given the poor drainage conditions in the area. 200 West 34th, Box 267 · Anchorage, Alaska 99503 · (907) 274-7611 J'"l E&$? 4~0.0~' ~00 O0 ~ ~$0 O0 I EAST 64 th 25000' ~ ROAD ~o,rL .... -~ \ \ \ I i I I &VENUE EAST DOWLING I ' I~" ' [ ,I ~ I '' ~1 ' / :" 4, I ' .
