A single test holes was excavated along the north side of the driveway, which showed silty sandy gravel for the full test hole depth of 17 feet, with no water observed after the 7 day monitoring. The pete rate from the test hole was 6 minutes per inch. This existing system is the original design, so it has lasted a long time due to the good soils. The owner has requested a 4 bedroom system, therefore I have shown a reserve system for future development. The lot is large so upgrading is not a problem. The lot has a gentle slope at the septic area of about I to 2 percent from the driveway facing north, as shown on the plan. There are no cut banks within 100 feet of the existing or proposed systems. The neighboring lots to the north are served by community water and will not be impacted by the new addition. Tax Id. 015-36142, Revisions To Whom it may concern: Soils Log - Dates: The soils log appears to be indicating that the test hole was dug in August 2007, while the percolation test appears to have been done in August 2008. Is the soils log dated correctly? The soils test was Iogged last year but the owner didn't have the money, so it ss,as delayed for 12 montl~. I did the soils last)'ear so the date is correct. Note: It is difficult to tell when the soils log was sealed. Per the State the date is required to be included whenever a document is sealed and signed, and the date is required to be within 2 inches of the seal if not within the seal, although it does not have to be wet ink like the signature. For the soils log, the date nearest the seal is approximately one year prior to the percolation test date. The date will be added to the stamp. Reserve Absorption Field - Location: The 1"=30' plan view appears to be calling out the same drain field as the primary and reserve. Please revise the design as needed to be indicating where the reserve absorption field is located. The primary and reserve system have been clarified Design Requirements/Specifications: The design appears to be lacking some ofthe design requirements, i.e.; valve type, gravel gradation, gravel cover over the perforated drain pipe, general specifications, etc. Please revise the design as needed to include complete design requirements in accordance with the code. The owner has requested a 4 bedroom system so no valve ~vill be used to tile old 3 bedroom. I have explained this to the owner attd she agrees.
