This investigation was performed in accordance with your request of September 19, 1975 and those procedures outlined in..~a letter dated July 15, 1975, by Mr. Rolf Strickland of the Greater Anchorage Area Borough Department of Environmental Quality. A single test hole was put down w±thin the Lot 3 area for the purpose of defining general subsurface soil conditions for the proposed sanitary system. Excavation was accomplished with an auger type drilling rig and the test hole was extended to a total depth of 20.0 feet below ground surface. The final log prepared for the test hole has been included in Drawing A-01. Ground water was not encountered in the test hole. We appreciate being given this opportunity to be of service to you. Should you have any questions ~th regard to the above, please do not hesitate to contact us. Very truly yours~ R & M CONSULTANTS, INC. J es W. Public sewer and water are available in this area for extension to all lots within this subdivision. 19) S 3192 Gombart Subdivision The information supplied by the engineer on ti~is case shows the soils are adequate for on-site sewage disposal. Water data in this area which is available from existing wells to the immediate northeast and also to the west indicates that adequate volumes of water can be found via individual drilled wells. 20) S 3208 Fern Baker Subdivision The building on this lot is served by a well and an on-site sewer sys- tem. The lot size in this case is being increased by the addition of lands to tile north and west. We have no objections to the case as submitted. 21) S 3205 Jackson Subdivision Public water is available to boti~ of these lots. The soils on these lots are suitable for on-site sewage disposal. Public sewer will be available in this area within five (5) years. 22) S 3183 Lookout Subdivision We have no objection to the right-of-way vacation in this area. 23) S 3189 Dafoe Subdivision These lots will be served by private ~l!s and on-site sewer systems. Soils information submitted shows soil are adequate for on-site sewage disposal. Records in our offi ~ of Lake of the Hills Subdivision and Raven Wood Subdivision show that ~alls will more than likely be in the neighborhood of 200' to 250' deep but do provide adequate volumes of water. 24) S 3188 Alyeska Basin Subdivision, Unit # 6 This property will be served by public water system. This should be required in the subdivision agreement. The lots will be required to be developed, at the present time, with on-site sewage disposal. Due to the soils condition in the area this will require that all home owners, more than likely, will be required to install holding tanks. Due to the cost involved in the disposal of sewage in this area in that it must be carried back to Anci~orage for disposal and the possi- bility of failure on ti~e part of certain individuals to keep their systems oumDed, a~,this time we recommend the subdivision not hz.., "L" STREET ,,?, ,~C, k_~h,,-,G E, /',,LASKA 99.50t (907) 264-4i 11 C':i{Q;aGE N.
