Slope to Drain Field Waiver Request
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am writing to request a waiver for the distance from the drain field to a slope of approximately 40% be
issued for this property. The existing drain field is located approximately 35' from this slope. The existing
system was As -Built by PES and there is no evidence of effluent daylighting to the surface at any time
since the system was constructed. The soil is well drained sand and gravel and a 4:1 infiltration line from
2' above the existing trench does not come within proximity to the surface for more than 50' downhill of
the drain field. See attached Site Section on sheet 3 of 4. Granting this waiver is not likely to affect the
health and safety of this lot or the surrounding lots now or in the future.

The Health Department does not have any previous record of approval for either
the well or the sewagedisposal syateme however, the well is supposed to be
drilled and 150 feet deep.
A recent water sample frrna this well showed the water to be not contamin`atod.
The sewage disposal system is located approxi:.4ately 100 feet from the well. This
system is approximately 5 years old and as far as we can determine, has never given
any trouble. We do not know the size of either the septic tank or the seepeg* ;zit.
