To Whom it may concern:
This is my inspection letter concerning the water and wastewater services to the small cabin located on the above lot. All of the water and wastewater services have been disconnected except the small boiler unit in the house. If the owner wants to reconnect the services in the future it will require a new septic permit per the MOA on-site department.

All construction must be in accordance with:
1. The attached approved design.
2. All requirements specified in Anchorage Municipal Code Chapters 15.55 and 15.65 and the State of Alaska
Wastewater Disposal Regulations ( 18AAC72 ) and Drinking Water Regulations ( 18AAC80 ).
3. The engineer must notify DHHS at least 2 hours prior to each inspection. Provide notification by calling
(907) 343-4744 ( 24 hours ). ( Not required for a Water Supply Permit only ).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather
must be either: A. Open and closed on the same day.
B. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing.

Subject: Lot 86A, Kimball Subd.
Gentlemen:
The owners of the above lot are preparing to build a new single family dwelling to replace
the existing cabin· The new three bedroom dwelling will be located to the east of the old
one. Following construction of the new house, the cabin will be converted to a workshop for
the owner; plumbing will be disconnected and the old undocumented sewer system will be
pumped and properly abandoned.
The well which currently serves the cabin will be connected to the new house. Although no
known well log exists for the well, we should be able to provide some information on casing
and total depth at the time a new pitless adapter and underground piping are established.
This lot is naturally divided from the other half of the subdivision by an extremely steep
slope. Lot 86A is nearly level as a result.
There are no known surface waters within 100' of the proposed sewer system. The
development of this lot does not appear to have any adverse impact on any of the
surrounding vacant or occupied lots.
We are requesting that a permit be granted for the installation of the new sewer system for
this proposed dwelling.
