Subject: Lot 3, Block E, Glacier View Heights Subdivision - Sewer and Well Permit
Gentlemen:
Following a request from the owner regarding the proposed development of the referenced
property, we dug several testholes for the proposed system and replacement field. The results
of those tests are attached. Testhole #2 had no organic due to re-grading of in-situ material
which has been in place sufficient time for full compaction. No outside fill material was used
or observed in the testholes.
The system will be placed on the southern portion of the lot. As indicated on the site plan
there is sufficient grade to maintain a gravity system. A 1250 gallon tank will be installed in
anticipation of a 4 bedroom house being constructed. There is also sufficient area and grade to
maintain a replacement gravity fed field.
As indicated by the site plan drainage arrows, the proposed drain field was located at the base
of the natural drainage way. Final contouring will insure that the drainage is directed to the
east, at the base of the existing slopes and away from this site after construction. There is no
surface water within 100' of the proposed installation. There are no curtain drains within 50' of
the proposed installation. No wells exist within 100' of the proposed installation. While there
are several cutbanks on the lot, final grading will insure that the minimum 50' setback is
maintained from all slopes. In addition, the driveway will be relocated to the south and east
which will provide additional setbacks for the proposed reserve areas. Additional re-grading
of the site is anticipated in connection with the construction of the house and driveway.
