Snowcup S/D Lot 2 Well and Septic System Installation Ladies and Gentlemen: I am writing to request that a permit to construct a new well and septic system be issued for this property. The proposed systems will serve a proposed four-bedroom house. The lot is not currently developed. The proposed scope of work is to install a new 1250 gallon septic tank and absorption system along with a new private well that will serve this lot. Solls Investigation: A soils exploration was completed in August of 2007 by BTH Construction The soils encountered were clean well graded sand in the area where the new drain field will be installed. The percolation rate of the soil based on the test performed is faster than I rain/in, the soil has sufficient sand content as to no warrant the installation of a sand liner. Bedrock and ground water were not encountered in the test pit. Ground water was not observed after the water monitoring period. Based on the soil investigation and the water monitoring performed to date, I believe the best system would be a conventional septic system using an application rate of 1.0 gpd/sf. Trench Deslgn: a.
