Day-Dot Subdfvision~ --Soil's Logs '~or On-Site Sewage Disposal and Potable Water Gentlemen: Last Friday, Mr. Dale Nelson met with you on the above-referenced subdivision to discuss your letter of October 22, 1971. At present, there is a well located within the subdivision 27 deep (hand dug with 36" diameter easing) that has been in constant use since 1962. Also, there are three wells within the immediate area for which the U.S.G.S. has listed pumping rates of 5 to 12 gpm. Mr. Nelson also discussed the fact 'that the two test holes taken for on-site sewage disposal purposes are representative of the soils within the subdivision. This is further verified by the well which is in gravel the full depth. On the west side, gravel has been encountered during the construction of a roadway. We hope the above will provide sufficient data to approve this sub-division. If there are any questions, please give either Dale Nelson or myself a call. In recent discussion with Mr. Dale Nelson, depths of samples were relayed and he stated that no water table was inter- cepted in any of the test pits. ¥;e note that the'depth of test pits Should be on the order of ten to twelve feet for more meaningful results as the bottom of seepage pits are commonly at that depth.
