installation inspections of any wells adjacent to this property and the number
of residences that the well will serve.

Backfilling of any system without final inspection~and approval by this department
will! be subject to prosecution.
Minimum distance between a well and any on-site sewage disposal system is 100 feet
for a private well or 150 to 200 feet from a public well depending upon the type
of public well. Minimum distance from a private well to a private sewer line
is 25 feet and to a community sewer line is 75 feet. Well logs are required
and.must be returned to this department within 30 days Of the well completion.
Other requirements may apply. Specifications and construction diagrams are
available to insure proper installation.

Dear Mr. Parnow:
Per your request of March 19, 1979, we conducted a test of the sanitary sewer
system on the above described property.
The septic tank was pmnped prior to the performance of the test on the
seepage ~it. During the test the liquid level in the seepage pit was
measured before and after the addition of 1000 gallons of water. Ail liquid
levels were measured below the top of the standpipe and are shown in the
following table:

The water level rose 36 inches with the addition of 1000 gallons of water,
indicating a capacity of 27.8 gallons per inch. Twenty-four hours later the
liquid level was again measured and found to be 11.0 feet. It had dropped
3.1 feet or 37.2 inches. This indicates an average effluent acceptance rate
o{ 1034 gallons per day for the surrounding soils. If the 3 bedroom resi-
dence on the property is to house 6 people, the average load on the system
can be expected to be 450 gallons per day. We can therefore conclude that
the system is disposing of effluent at an adequate rate for a 3 bedroom
residence.

Subject: Lot 8 Block 4 Summit Estates Subdivision
Approval for your individual sewer and water facilities
will not be granted until the following items have been
completed:
(1)
The water analysis report can be picked up from
Chem Lab, 5633 B Street, and delivered to this
office for our review on Tuesday, March 27.
(2)
The tank is not large enough for a three(3) bedroom
single family dwelling. An additional 500 gallon
tank must be installed.
(3)
A percolation test be performed on the existing leaching
area. This will determine if the system is adequate
according to National Standards. A list of private
firms who perform the test is enclosed.
For any upgrade of the sewer system, a permit must be
issued by this department.

Dear Sir:
In reference to the attached copy of your letter, the followtn~ is submitted
as an explanation of my application for the approval of the water and sewer
facilities on my property located at Lot 8, Block 4, Summit Estates Subdivision.
The house on this location is beln~ used as a 2 bedroom home, the third room, which
could be considered a bedroom, has been converted to a utility, sewing room. The
closet has the washer and dryer installed in it, the recent apprasil also shows
this as being used for this purpose, there fore I am requesting that this be approved
as a 2 bedroom unit.
